Makhane Ki Kheer is a yummy Indian dessert made using makhana or fox nuts and delightfully flavored with cardamom and saffron. Save this easy recipe by @happinesss.is.homemade 🌸

👉 INGREDIENTS
1½ cups makhana or fox nuts
2 cups full cream milk
1 tbsp ghee
¼ cup sugar
10 cashews
3 pods cardamom
7-8 strands saffron
1 tbsp Mix dry fruits, cashews, almonds, raisins

👉 INSTRUCTIONS
1. Melt ghee in a pan.
2. Add makhana and roast on low flame until crunchy. Transfer to a plate to cool.
4. Add 1/2 cup of roasted makhana, cashews, and cardamom seeds in a blender. Grind to a fine powder. Keep aside.
5. Heat 2 cups of milk in a heavy bottomed pan.
6. When the milk comes to a boil, add makhana and cashew powder. Mix well, then add sugar and saffron.
7. Crush remaining roasted makhanas with your hand or grind into a coarse powder.
8. When sugar dissolves, add crushed makhana and cook on medium to low flame for about 7-8 mins.
9. Meanwhile, heat 1 tsp ghee in a small pan & roast chopped cashews, almonds, and raisins.
10. Add roasted dry fruits to the kheer and cook for 2-3 mins. Remove from stove.
11. Serve the kheer hot or chilled.
